Waldo Vieira, born in Monte Carmelo, on the 12th April 1932 – died in Foz do Iguaçu on the 2nd July 2015, graduated in medicine and dentistry, with a postgraduation in plastic surgery and cosmetic in Tokyo, Japan.
The story of Waldo Vieira is marked by parapsychic fitness present from an early age and by the irreducible and persistent dedication to examining parapsychism in detail and exhaustively. His life research resulted in the corpus of conscientiology, the experimental science proposed by Vieira in the early 90’s. Holothecology Magazine, p. 77.
Vieira was the proponent of the sciences projectiology and conscientiology systematised in the treatises Projectiology: Panorama of the Experiences of Consciousness Outside the Human Body (1986) and 700 Experiments of Conscientiology (1994). He has written dozens of books and hundreds of articles related to consciousness research.
In January 2000, he settled in the CEAEC Campus where he wrote his most daring project, the Encyclopaedia of Conscientiology. In parallel with the production of the Encyclopaedia, he published 5 scientific treatises: Homo sapiens reurbanisatus (2003), Homo sapiens pacificus (2007), Dictionary of Arguments of Conscientiology (2011), Dictionary of Neologisms of Conscientiology (2014) and Lexicon of Orthopensatas . He laid the foundation of the Center for the Higher Studies of Conscientiology – CEAEC, initiating the construction of the Cognopolis (City of Knowledge) of Foz do Iguaçu, state of Parana, Brazil.
By donating its private library to CEAEC, it was possible to structure the Holotheca, which holds one of the largest collections in the world related to parapsychic phenomena.
In the Holocycle, an area specialized in lexicography, Waldo Vieira trained research teams for the development of the Encyclopaedia of Conscientiology, which currently counts with more than 4,000 entries, or verbets, referring to the wide universe that is consciousness.
The vast legacy of Waldo Vieira is the consistent, vigorous, and inspiring set of ideas embodied materially and energetically not only in the buildings and spaces consolidated in the creation of the Cognopolis of Foz do Iguaçu, but mostly materialized through written work still not fully exploited.
